Steve, I sure miss all the flying time I spent with you.  You were a great pilot.

I remember when you were an illegal ham radio operator.  You called me on the phone on day using an electronic voice distorter and said you were an alien an your space craft had force landed.  You needed a Klestron ? tube to fix it.  Would I help you locate one?  I guess you found the tube and flew away.  Thanks for the  flight lessons and frindship.

I first remember Steve Carlock from my Junior year at PHS. He may have been at CHS the year before when I was there, I'm not sure.  Steve already had his Ham license then. He was K0DBJ. There is a picture of Steve in the 1957 yearbook operating our Ham station. With the help of Mr. Davenport, our Electronics Teacher and the ones who already had their license, I got my Ham ticket that year too.  It's a life long hobby which I still pursue 57 year later.

Steve was a kind, easy going, quiet person and I enjoyed knowing him.
