Most of all, I loved football. I never missed a game while I was at Parkview, home or away. The most memorable ones were University City on Thanksgiving Day, where we were too vain to wear anything on our heads when it was FRIGID, and when my parents drove us to Fayetteville where we watched the game in a torrential downpour.
Mr. Ryukowski, my geometry teacher, because he thought I was smart, unlike some of my other teachers !
When I first started driving, one of the few times I got to take my folk's car, I ran into Whit Ehrler's parents' car. It was parked at Mom and Dad's house, where they were attending a party.
I had to go in and announce my sins in front of everyone there. I could have died.
I had three --Love Me Tender and Heartbreak Hotel, sung by the King, Elvis, and Young Love, by Tab Hunter.
He was gorgeous. (he wasn't much of a singer).
As described above, I had no car. Luckily, some of my friends did.
Like many of the rest of you, I can laugh at myself. Back then, life was either Great or Terrible, depending on what happened that day. The great days were a lot of fun.
I pursued my husband, who pursued a career. We still argue over who proposed to whom, 48 years later.
I love to travel. This summer, I'm pretending to be a native New Yorker. Ray and I have been here since May 12th and will return soon to Austin after 4 months in the Big Apple.
See previous answer. Also, I'm very passionate about ballet. I'm very active with Ballet Austin, the 15th largest ballet company in the country.
Live to be 100. Hope this doesn't jinx me !
Looking forward to the reunion. I always meant to write a note to Ron Ward to thank him and his wife for the wonderful picnic at the last reunion and I never did. Thanks Ron!!!!!!
A good time in my life. I really loved Parkview.
HAIL TO THE VIKINGS VALIANT !!
