What is your first instantaneous memory of Parkview?

How big and new it was. And joining with a large bunch of would-be athletes to pick up rocks from the practice fields the Summer of '56/

Who was your favorite teacher and/or class and why?

Orville Pottenger - from health and PE to the football team, and as CO of the 12th Rifle Company, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.

Dorothy Rathbone and the Jr.-Sr. Choir was unforgetable.

What was your most embarrassing moment at Parkview?

What was your favorite song and who sang it?

"On the street where you live." Forgot who sang it though.

Johnny Nash had a great song but I forgot the title.

Describe your car and favorite destination:

Dad's '53 Ford with a continental kit. I learned to drive when I was 13. Took it on dates when 15. Loved Taylors, the Sky Ranch, and the Tup.

How have you changed since Parkview?

Got fat. Came to appreciate what great years they were.

What careers have you pursued?

Worked on a cattle ranch. Went to college. Was a police officer for 15yrs. Regulatory enforcement with Mo. State Veterinarian's Office for 18yrs, retired from there. Working now for a contract agency for the state.
Had to give up my dream of flying airplanes for a living, although I did learn to fly and solo at that.

What has been your most exciting or interesting experience?

Being a police officer in St. Louis City when it was the 10th largest city in the country, during the Civil Rights days and the Vietnam War. Folks today have no idea...

What do you do these days to have fun?

Camping with my wife at state parks or private campgrounds near lakes.

Amateur (Ham) radio. I've talked to persons all over the world.

What is it you still hope to do/accomplish?

Learn to really play the guitar. (I've played at it since high shool.)

Do some serious writing. Short stories, poetry. I majored in English Literature in college and would like to have time to use some of my knowledge and develop some ideas.
