The fresh new look of the building and all the windows.

It must not have been very embarrassing as I don't remember any.

1953 Mercury two door hardtop, lowered and custmized and named "Golden Rod". Buzzing the drive-in's (Taylors and others that I can no longer remember the names of), but I had to do it slowly as I had to go in the driveways sideways to keep from getting the bottom of the car hung up.

Hair is turning gray and I have a case of “Furniture Disease” which has caused my ‘chest’ to drop into my ‘drawers’….. Also, I no longer drive a car that set so low it scraped the road everywhere I went….

Retired from the U.S.A.F in June 1979, after 20 years, as a helicopter Flight Engineer, with 2 combat tours in Vietnam. On July 28th, 2011, I retired after over 31 years with a convenience store division of Kroger, as Vice President responsible for Real-Estate and Petroleum Marketing.

Two years flying combat missions as a helicopter flight engineer/door gunner in Vietnam and almost every one of them was exciting. We flew special operations missions inserting and extracting MACV SOG teams along the Ho Chi Mien trail in Vietnam, North Vietnam, Laos & Cambodia.

Maintain a website for U.S.A.F. helicopter personnel at www.rotorheadsrus.us and riding my Harley. Also enjoy the beautiful sugar white sand beaches of the Florida panhandle.

Had a 20 year U.S. Air Force career followed by a 31+ year in the retail grocery business. I retired in 2011 and my wife, Ann, and I enjoy our home and nearby family.
